Traffic diversions planned for ODI series
Rawalpindi City Traffic Police have issued a traffic plan for the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20 series and the subsequent tri-nation ODI series involving Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka taking place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Double Road. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are scheduled to hold practice sessions at the stadium on October 6 ahead of the T20 series.
Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam has also dispatched a formal request to the relevant authorities, urging them to expedite the completion of outstanding repair work on Stadium Road including remaining work on the ongoing construction project in preparation for the matches.
Traffic police officials have stated that a comprehensive and organised traffic plan has been formulated to ensure smooth traffic flow and adequate parking facilities for citizens. They stated that over 321 traffic police officers and personnel will be deployed for duty during both the practice sessions and the actual T20 matches. Traffic will be temporarily diverted to alternative routes for the shortest possible duration during the arrival and departure of the cricket teams.
