Gunmen abduct 18 labourers in Dukki

RAHIM YAR KHAN:

Eighteen workers were kidnapped after terrorists attacked a road construction company's camp in the Nana Sahib locality of Balochistan's Dukki district on Monday.

Eight of the abducted labourers belong to the Dahar community of Sadiqabad tehsil in Rahim Yar Khan.

The abduction has triggered widespread concern in the area, while the families of the missing workers have appealed to the government, Pakistan's armed forces and law-enforcement agencies to ensure the safe and immediate recovery of their loved ones.

According to details, armed men attacked a camp belonging to a company working on road construction in Nana Sahib Ziarat, an area of Dukki district, and abducted 18 labourers. Eight of the workers are from Basti Mith Khan in Mauza Allahabad, located in the Chowk Chadhar area of Sadiqabad tehsil, Rahim Yar Khan.

The incident plunged the families of the abducted workers into anguish, with relatives expressing grave concern for their safety and well-being.

The eight workers from Rahim Yar Khan have been identified as Sikandar Khan Dahar, son of Salman Khan Dahar; Noman Dahar, son of Azam Khan Dahar; Shaman Ali Dahar, son of Azam Khan Dahar; Naeem Khan Dahar, son of Wali Muhammad Dahar; Sami Khan Dahar, son of Wali Muhammad Dahar; Aftab Dahar, son of Shabbir Ahmed Dahar; Basit Ali Dahar, son of Hakim Khan Dahar; and Irshad Ahmed Dahar, son of Sahib Khan Dahar.

All eight belong to the Mith Khan locality of Mauza Allahabad in the Chowk Chadhar area.

The families have made an urgent appeal to the government of Pakistan, the Balochistan government, the armed forces, security forces, police and all other law-enforcement agencies to use every available resource to protect the lives of the abducted workers and secure their safe recovery at the earliest.
