The news comes days after Presley Gerber’s death at a rehabilitation facility in California. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed his death, while Santa Monica police said they were investigating it as a suspected overdose.

According to a statement from the Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to a possible overdose report on September 20 and found an adult male deceased. Police said there was no indication of foul play at the time, while the official cause and manner of death would be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

Presley’s autopsy has been completed, but PEOPLE reported that his cause of death remains listed as deferred.

Kaia Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, had previously spoken publicly about her brother’s struggles with addiction. His death has also prompted messages of support for the Gerber family from friends and fans.

For Kaia, the discovery of Tony comes during a particularly difficult period following her brother’s death. The cat’s disappearance had prompted a search involving people close to her, including Pullman.
