Singer Asim Azhar described actor Hania Aamir as "an amazing artist" and termed her new song Pablo a "banger."
Discussing the track in a clip shared by the BBC Asian Network, Azhar noted that he related to Hania "with the expressiveness," adding that he was excited to see this side of the actor.
Pushing back on listeners judging her foray into music too harshly, the singer argued, "Just because she's known as an actor doesn't mean she can't also write and release music as a genuine outlet for her feelings," urging fans to take it in that spirit rather than critiquing it like a talent show.
Azhar also stated, "Pablo, hopefully, marks the start of more Pakistani women breaking into pop music; I see real potential for Hania's debut to inspire more women across Pakistan, South Asia and beyond to do the same."
"I want to see Pakistani pop girlies outnumbering Pakistani male pop stars," the singer added.
This wasn't the only time Azhar showed love for Hania's track this week. Earlier, he shared a video of himself in London, set to Pablo.
The clip landed just as Azhar closed out the British leg of his Asim Ali album tour in London on September 20 at the Troxy — a show he had earlier billed as his biggest international concert to date.
