Swineryy joins 'Pakkay Dost' season 4 as Mobi

Content creator Swineryy has officially joined the cast of Bilal Maqsood’s hit children’s puppet show Pakkay Dost for its fourth season. The popular artist is stepping out of her usual social media realm to voice and puppeteer a new character named Mobi.

Taking to Instagram to share the news, Swineryy candidly detailed her initial anxiety during the voice-testing process. Despite coming from a musical family and working as a voice artist, she admitted to feeling deeply self-conscious about her singing abilities.

“On my first day, in the middle of testing different voices for Mobi’s dialogues, Bilal Maqsood asked, ‘Can you also sing?’ and I go, uhhhhmmmmmm,” she wrote.

She explained that while she comes from a very musical family, she had always been shy and unsure about her singing. “So naturally I’m immediately in his recording studio, singing properly in front of a person for the first time. That person being Bilal Maqsood,” she wrote.

To calm her nerves, the content creator said she practised an inner mantra, reminding herself that Maqsood had likely encountered his fair share of bad singers during Pakistan Idol auditions. “During Pakistan Idol auditions, he must have heard other bad singers, he’ll survive,” she recalled telling herself.

Her self-doubt began to melt away as Maqsood offered encouraging feedback during the session. “I heard him go ‘you have a good voice’ a couple of times between recording and guiding me through singing as Mobi,” she shared, adding that the reassurance helped quiet her imposter syndrome enough to let Mobi sing freely.

“When you’re feeling creatively uninspired and stuck, you’re like a little ghost waiting on your brain to come back and do its thing. Being Mobi gave me the chance to collaborate, get out of my comfort zone, and be a part of something so meaningful, challenging, creative, and fun,” she wrote.

The experience also introduced her to the demands of puppeteering and left her with a newfound respect for those who work behind the characters.

The content creator said she had learned a completely new skill and developed “a growing deep respect for puppeteers”. “It is not easy work,” she wrote.

The addition of Mobi comes alongside the launch of Pakkay Dost Season 4 on YouTube. Spearheaded by Maqsood, the show was created with the core mission of providing wholesome, educational Urdu content that feels modern and engaging for young audiences.

“To make Pakkay Dost was to try to make healthy and wholesome content in Urdu which would make Urdu cool and relevant for children,” Maqsood explained regarding the show's objective.

The new season expands its educational footprint with more than 50 songs covering diverse topics, ranging from physical fitness and animal kindness to the names of vegetables, bones and joints in the human body.

Special appearances, including actor Syra Yousuf singing about the rich origins and vocabulary of the Urdu language, further highlight the show's blend of learning and entertainment designed for families to watch together.
