Govt to table mediation law in parliament
.

Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar on Monday said work on Pakistan's ratification of the Singapore Convention on Mediation was progressing steadily, with the necessary implementing legislation to be tabled before parliament soon.
Addressing the Singapore Convention Week 2026 through a video address, he said Pakistan had become the 58th signatory to the Singapore Convention on Mediation in May 2025. He said after enactment of the implementing legislation, mediated settlements reached in Pakistan would become enforceable across the Convention's other 57 signatory states, providing greater certainty and confidence to foreign investors in resolving commercial disputes.
