Domicile portal failure hits students

.

The online domicile application system in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has remained disrupted for several days due to "excessive load", causing serious difficulties for matriculation students seeking to obtain their domiciles.

Students and their parents have been forced to visit courts and various government offices to apply for domiciles and obtain information, while some have also had to bear additional expenses for the purpose.

Sources said applications for domiciles had increased unusually following the announcement of the matriculation results, overloading the provincial government's online domicile system and causing it to repeatedly crash.

Even when the application opens, it often fails to progress beyond the biometric verification stage.
