Angela Sant’Albano, who voices Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, has reportedly taken over the role of Gwendolyn in Eclipse Glow Games' Tides of Annihilation.

The reported casting follows Jennifer English's departure from the lead role in July for health reasons. Eclipse Glow Games previously said it would announce a replacement, but did not identify the actress.

A gameplay demo shown during a Shanghai showcase in August appears to have prompted speculation about Sant’Albano's involvement.

Gwendolyn featured in the footage sounded and looked different from earlier versions of the character, leading fans to compare the voice with Sant’Albano's performance as Grace Ashcroft.

The speculation gained further attention when Jennifer Prime, who performs Gwendolyn's motion capture, shared the gameplay demo on X. In response to a fan who identified the voice as Grace Ashcroft's, Prime wrote: “Yep!!! But this time, no more screaming ‘LEON!!!!’.”

In Resident Evil Requiem, Grace calls out to Leon across several scenes, prompting further discussion about Sant’Albano's reported involvement in Tides of Annihilation.

Neither Eclipse Glow Games nor Sant’Albano had officially confirmed the casting at the time of the report. However, when English left the project, the studio described her replacement as someone whose “recent work in videogames” had made a strong impression.

Tides of Annihilation is scheduled to appear at Gamescom in coming weeks, where players are expected to hear the new Gwendolyn performance.
