Ariana Grande has debuted a new tattoo that appears to be a sweet reference to her rekindled romance with Ricky Alvarez.

The singer showed off the new ink during the first night of her Eternal Sunshine Tour residency at London's O2 Arena on August 15. Written in script across her collarbone are the words "I do love you."

Fans quickly noticed that the tattoo appears to match one Alvarez has on his chest. The dancer and photographer previously showed off a tattoo featuring the same words, although his version is written in a different style and positioned slightly differently.

The tattoo comes just days after Grande and Alvarez appeared to confirm that they have rekindled their relationship. Grande shared a series of photos on Instagram on August 12 that included pictures of herself and Alvarez together, tagging him in the post. He subsequently reshared the photos.

Grande and Alvarez first dated from 2015 to 2016, after meeting through her touring team, with Alvarez working as one of her backup dancers. Their relationship was later referenced in Grande's 2019 song thank u, next, in which she sings, "Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh."

The pair remained friends after their split, and Alvarez has recently been supporting Grande during her return to touring. He was spotted backstage during her London shows as she began the 10-night residency, her first UK tour performances since 2019.

Neither Grande nor Alvarez has publicly commented specifically on the matching tattoos, but the new ink has given fans another apparent sign of their renewed relationship.
