Milo Manheim's 'Camp Rock 3' cameo revealed as director explains his small role
"We were over the moon when it ended up working out for Milo to come play with us," the director said

Milo Manheim is making a cameo in Disney Channel's upcoming Camp Rock 3, and director Veronica Rodriguez has revealed what fans can expect from his small role.
The 25-year-old Zombies star will play a songwriting professional who helps instruct the campers in the third instalment of the Disney franchise. The film premieres August 13 on Disney Channel and will stream on Disney+ the following day.
Rodriguez said Manheim's appearance was particularly meaningful because of his connection to Malachi Barton, who stars as Fletch in Camp Rock 3. Manheim previously played Zed in the Zombies franchise, while Barton has taken over as one of the newer faces of the series.
"Milo passed the Zombies torch to Malachi, and they're buds," Rodriguez said. "We were over the moon when it ended up working out for Milo to come play with us. It's a really fun, meaningful cameo."
Barton, who appeared in Zombies 4 and Zombies 5, plays Fletch, the new movie's male lead and a camper described as the camp's bad boy.
Manheim's appearance comes alongside another major Disney cameo. Demi Lovato will return as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3, nearly two decades after the original 2008 film. Lovato is also serving as an executive producer on the movie.
While Manheim is not returning as Zed in Zombies 5, he will remain involved with the franchise as an executive producer. He is also currently filming Disney's live-action Tangled in Spain, where he plays Flynn Rider.
Camp Rock 3 arrives on Disney Channel on August 13, with its Disney+ release following on August 14.
