Anne Hathaway reveals her favourite ‘The Odyssey’ meme featuring Robert Pattinson

Anne Hathaway has revealed her favourite meme from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, highlighting a line from the epic film that has gained attention online.

The actress, who stars in the Greek epic alongside Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Charlize Theron, discussed the meme following the film’s theatrical success.

The movie is based on Homer’s ancient poem and follows the aftermath of the Trojan War.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress who plays Penelope in the film, named the dialogue she finds particularly amusing when used as a meme.

She said, “Every time somebody is using ‘Can I get these beggars out of here’ (a line said by the Twilight star in the film). People are using that one savagely and I’m here for it.”

The Odyssey has added another major commercial success to Nolan’s filmography, following acclaimed projects including The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Dunkirk and Oppenheimer.

The film has reportedly crossed $1 billion globally within three weeks, making it Nolan’s highest-grossing film to date. It has also reportedly broken IMAX and pre-sale ticketing records.

The production is also notable for its use of IMAX technology, with Nolan becoming the first filmmaker to shoot an entire film using IMAX cameras.
