Jared Leto reportedly dropped from 'Assassination' amid sexual misconduct allegations
Jared Leto reportedly lost 'Assassination' role as renewed sexual misconduct allegations continue to affect career

Jared Leto has reportedly been dropped from the political thriller Assassination as renewed sexual misconduct allegations continue to generate scrutiny around the actor.
According to reports citing unnamed industry sources, Leto had been in discussions to join the Barry Levinson-directed film since last year and was believed to be close to securing a role before the allegations resurfaced.
One source claimed the casting had been "seeming like a done deal" before production executives decided not to move forward.
Another source alleged that those behind the film had already been aware of previous allegations involving Leto, but discussions reportedly intensified as more women came forward with claims.
The reports come amid renewed allegations from multiple women accusing the actor and musician of sexual misconduct over the past two decades.
Among the allegations is a claim by Allie Teliz, who alleged that she was 17 when Leto "assaulted and traumatized" her. A resurfaced Facebook post from 2012 attributed to Teliz states, "Youre [sic] not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat."
She later described the alleged behaviour as "predatory, terrifying, and unacceptable" and claimed she had informed Leto that she was a minor.
Another anonymous accuser alleged she was 16 when she exchanged phone numbers with Leto after meeting him and claimed their subsequent conversations included sexually explicit questions.
Additional allegations were featured in the BBC documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, including claims from a woman who alleged she was 17 when she had an intimate relationship with the actor. She claimed Leto dismissed concerns about her age by saying, "Age is just a number."
Leto has denied all allegations.
"I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false," he said in a statement.
