Ironmouse calls for Fortnite artwork change after fans spot AI watermark
Ironmouse asked for Fortnite’s 'Meow' artwork to be replaced after fans spotted Gemini AI watermark

Ironmouse has asked for artwork used in Fortnite to be replaced after fans spotted a Google Gemini AI watermark on the cover of her track “Meow”.
The artwork, created for “Meow” by Ironmouse, Sleeping Forest and HalaCG, was added to Fortnite last month. Players noticed a Gemini logo in the bottom-right corner of the image on October 2 and brought it to Ironmouse’s attention.
The artwork was subsequently replaced in Fortnite by October 5. The updated version no longer features the Gemini watermark.
After a fan asked on X whether the Club Ironmouse cover art was AI-made, Ironmouse said she was unaware of the watermark and that her team had contacted those responsible for the release.
“Nope i had no idea thanks for bringing it to my attention. my team has contacted the people in charge of this particular release and demanded it to be changed.”

Ironmouse later described the situation as “extremely disappointing.”
An Epic Games representative said that the artwork had not been created by Epic and explained why the image was changed.
“The artwork was provided to us by the artist and same that was used across all DSPs. Once it was changed by the artist, we also changed it out, same as the other streaming and digital platforms.”
The incident comes as Fortnite faces continued discussion around the use of AI in its artwork and development.
Players previously questioned a poster featuring a nine-toed character in a hammock, while Epic has also released a developer video showing how it experiments with AI during the concept phase.
In June, Fortnite players also called for AI disclaimers on skins after Epic revealed information about how it creates them.
