Ariana Grande exits London 'Sunday in the Park With George', as production remains set for 2027
Ariana Grande has withdrawn from 'Sunday in the Park With George' after announcing break from public-facing work

Ariana Grande has withdrawn from the upcoming London revival of Sunday in the Park With George, with producers confirming the production will still open at the Barbican in summer 2027 as planned.
The singer and actor had been due to star alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey in the Stephen Sondheim musical, portraying Dot and Marie opposite Bailey's George Seurat.
However, Grande's representatives announced she will take a break from public-facing work after completing her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
A representative for Grande told People, "Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour.
"She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.
"This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much."
Empire Street Productions confirmed the revival will continue without Grande. In a statement, the company said, "We know this cannot have been an easy decision, and she makes it with our complete understanding and support.
"We wish her nothing but the best. The production will open at the Barbican in summer 2027 as planned, and casting will be announced in due course."
The revival, directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Marianne Elliott with design by Tom Scutt, is based on Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's 1984 Broadway musical inspired by Georges Seurat's painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.
Grande is currently completing her Eternal Sunshine Tour, including a 10-night residency at London's The O2, with the final performance on September 1 marking the end of the tour.
The announcement follows the release of the music video for Petal, the title track from Grande's eighth studio album.
