'Off Campus' star Belmont Cameli says cast is determined to preserve the show's 'magic' in season 2
Cameli also revealed that he has intentionally kept his online presence to a minimum

Belmont Cameli says the cast of Prime Video's hit romance series Off Campus is focused on protecting the "magic" that made the first season a breakout success as production continues on season 2.
Speaking exclusively to People, the actor, who plays hockey captain Garrett Graham, reflected on the show's rapid rise in popularity following its debut earlier this year. Despite the growing attention from fans and social media, Cameli said the cast has remained grounded and committed to the story that first resonated with audiences.
"We're all trying to protect the magic," Cameli said, explaining that the close bond between the cast and creative team has helped maintain the atmosphere that defined the first season. He described the experience of returning to set as "really sweet", adding that everyone involved is navigating the show's newfound success together.
Based on Elle Kennedy's bestselling romance novels, Off Campus follows the relationship between Garrett Graham and music student Hannah Wells, played by Ella Bright. The series quickly became a hit after premiering on Prime Video in May, prompting Amazon to renew it for a second season even before the first had debuted.
Cameli also revealed that he has intentionally kept his online presence to a minimum despite becoming one of BookTok's newest heart-throbs. The actor said staying away from constant social media engagement has helped him remain focused on filming and avoid becoming overwhelmed by the attention surrounding the series.
With all of season 2's scripts already completed, fans can expect the story to continue adapting Kennedy's beloved novels. Showrunner Louisa Levy has previously teased that the upcoming season will include surprises for longtime readers while staying true to the characters that helped turn Off Campus into one of Prime Video's biggest young adult hits.
