Cardi B says she had her BBL reduced in 2024 while responding to speculation about her appearance

Cardi B has confirmed that she underwent a procedure to reduce her butt injections after responding to ongoing speculation about her appearance on social media.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session this week, the rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, revealed that she had some of her cosmetic treatment dissolved in January 2024.

"A lot of y'all keep telling me to go get my as reduced. I don't need to go get my as reduced, news flash, I did get my as reduced," she said, according to footage obtained by People. "I'm very, very honest. First of all, I got two lipos and one as reduction."

The star said she does not plan to undergo any additional cosmetic procedures at the moment.

"(I) can't just go and lipo my butt because my skin is like kinda loose," the 33-year-old explained, adding that this is "why my a*s shakes so much".

Cardi B also spoke about why she originally decided to alter the appearance of her body, saying her natural build is petite.

"First thing first, I am a small girl," she said. "I'm a very small, petite girl. My mom is petite. My sister's petite. My aunts are small."

The rapper has previously discussed her cosmetic procedures publicly. She has said that she received biopolymer injections, made from silicone-based fillers that are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), when she was 21.
