Amy Adams Breaks Silence on Daughter Aviana Following Her Hollywood Legacy

Amy Adams shares that her 16-year-old daughter Aviana may explore entertainment but has not chosen a career path

Amy Adams has opened up about whether her teenage daughter, Aviana Olea Le Gallo, plans to follow in her footsteps and pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

The Oscar-nominated actress revealed that her 16-year-old daughter is interested in exploring Hollywood but has not decided on a specific path.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE during the finale event for her Apple TV series Cape Fear in New York City, Adams shared that Aviana is curious about the entertainment world but may explore different areas behind the scenes.

“I know she’s interested in production as a whole, so we’ll see what avenue she decides to focus on,” Adams told PEOPLE.

Aviana, whom Adams shares with her husband, filmmaker and artist Darren Le Gallo, has grown up surrounded by creativity. Le Gallo, who met Adams in an acting class in 2001, has worked as a filmmaker and directed the 2022 feature film Sam & Kate. Their daughter has also had early exposure to acting, making a cameo appearance in her father’s film as a young dancer.

Adams previously explained that family discussions play an important role in her career decisions. The actress said she regularly includes Aviana in conversations about work commitments, travel and upcoming projects to ensure choices work for their family.

The Enchanted star’s latest project, Cape Fear, is a 10-episode psychological thriller series that reimagines the 1991 film for modern audiences. The show’s finale is set to stream on Apple TV on July 31.

While Aviana’s future career remains uncertain, Adams said she is supportive of whatever direction her daughter chooses, whether in production, acting or another creative field.
