Brendan Morgan and David Tomlinson join 'Heated Rivalry' season 2
'Heated Rivalry' season 2 adds six cast members, including Brendan Morgan and David Tomlinson, as filming continues on

Heated Rivalry has added six new cast members to its upcoming second season, expanding the ensemble as production continues on the Crave and HBO Max series.
Brendan Morgan will play Zane Boodram, a professional hockey player on Ottawa’s team, while David Tomlinson has been cast as Cody Kent, a Toronto player. Cody is the newly renamed version of the Dallas Kent character from Rachel Reid’s novels.
Gerry Dee joins the Heated Rivalry season 2 cast as Coach Cooper, the head coach of the Toronto team. Michelle Mylett will portray Lisa, a doctor and the wife of Wyatt Hayes, an Ottawa player previously announced as a new addition. Mylett reunites with creator Jacob Tierney following their work on Letterkenny.
Lauren Chan will play Gen, an Ottawa team employee who works alongside Harris Drover, portrayed by Justice Smith. Nick Stahl joins as Curtis Barrett, the father of Troy Barrett, played by Charlie Gillespie.
The second season will primarily draw from Reid’s sixth novel, The Long Game, which follows hockey rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov as they navigate a committed relationship while keeping their romance private.
Tierney has also confirmed that Role Model, which follows Troy and Harris, will provide source material for the season. The new casting also suggests elements from Tough Guy, the third novel in Reid’s series, could feature in the upcoming episodes.
Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will return as Shane and Ilya, alongside Smith, Gillespie, Daniel Diemer and Shaheen Jafargholi in leading roles.
Heated Rivalry season 2 is currently filming and is targeting a spring 2027 release on Crave and HBO Max.
