Pearl Studio, the animation company behind acclaimed films including Kung Fu Panda 3, Abominable and Oscar nominated Over the Moon, is preparing to introduce its latest feature to audiences around the world. The Beijing based studio has confirmed an international release schedule for All Wishes Come True!, an animated fantasy comedy that draws inspiration from one of China's best known traditional folk tales.

The film is scheduled to debut in China on July 24 before expanding to several overseas territories over the following weeks. Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea will receive the film on August 13. It will then open across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Netherlands on August 14. Belgium and Luxembourg will follow with a September 4 release, giving the production a broad international rollout shortly after its domestic premiere.

Produced by Pearl Studio alongside CMC Pictures, All Wishes Come True! is written and directed by Mu Zhengyang, with Cao Linlin serving as producer. The film reimagines the classic Chinese folk tale of The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, transforming the legendary story into an action packed mythological comedy designed for modern audiences.

The adventure follows eight ordinary mortals who disguise themselves as immortals in an ambitious attempt to infiltrate a legendary vault. Their mission begins with Lü Dongbin and Zhongli Quan before six additional companions join the journey, including He Xiangu, Tieguai Li, Han Xiangzi, Cao Guojiu, Lan Caihe and Zhang Guolao. As the group progresses, they uncover a dangerous conspiracy capable of disrupting the balance between the mortal and immortal realms, forcing the unlikely heroes into a much greater battle than they first expected.

The production also features notable creative talent behind the scenes. Su Hang, recognised with a Hong Kong Film Award for The Shadow's Edge, choreographed the film's action sequences. Voice direction was handled by Chen Hao, whose previous credits include the hugely successful animated blockbuster Ne Zha.

The release arrives during a period of remarkable international growth for Chinese animation. Recent productions have demonstrated increasing commercial appeal beyond domestic audiences, with Ne Zha 2 emerging as one of the biggest animated successes ever released after earning more than $2.2bn worldwide. The expanding popularity of Chinese animated storytelling has encouraged studios to invest in original productions rooted in the country's mythology, folklore and cultural traditions while targeting audiences across international markets.

Pearl Studio has positioned itself at the forefront of that movement. Since establishing its reputation through internationally recognised productions such as Kung Fu Panda 3, Abominable and Over the Moon, the company has continued developing original projects that introduce elements of traditional Chinese culture to viewers worldwide. The studio operates as the animation division of CMC Inc and has become one of China's most recognisable animation companies on the global stage.

Distribution partner CMC Pictures has also steadily expanded its international presence since entering overseas distribution in 2016. The company has released approximately 120 films across more than 100 countries and 500 cities, helping bring major Chinese franchises including The Wandering Earth, Ne Zha, Detective Chinatown, Ip Man 4 and A Writer's Odyssey to global audiences.
