FKA Twigs has responded to Shia LaBeouf’s latest legal claims, arguing in a new court filing that her public comments did not damage the actor’s reputation because, she says, his own actions had already done so, according to TMZ.

According to court documents, FKA Twigs is disputing allegations that she violated the terms of a confidential settlement reached between the former couple in 2025. LaBeouf reportedly claims comments she made during a later interview breached the agreement and harmed his public image.

The legal dispute follows FKA Twigs’ 2020 lawsuit against LaBeouf, in which she accused the actor of sexual battery, physical abuse and knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted disease during their relationship. LaBeouf denied the allegations, and the case was settled in 2025 without a public trial.

In the latest filing, FKA Twigs argues that statements she made about not feeling safe as a woman in the entertainment industry and her desire to support other survivors did not violate the settlement terms. She further contends that LaBeouf’s history of legal troubles, arrests, alleged violent behaviour and past public use of homophobic slurs had already affected his reputation independently of her remarks.

The singer also claims LaBeouf discussed aspects of their relationship in an interview earlier this year, arguing that his own comments could similarly raise questions about compliance with the settlement agreement.

FKA Twigs is asking the court to declare the non-disclosure provisions of the settlement unenforceable, allowing her to speak publicly about her experiences. The court has not yet ruled on the latest filings, and the legal dispute between the former partners remains ongoing.
