Hudson Williams has poked fun at an alleged autograph dealer who reportedly followed him around Paris, sharing a humorous comparison to Vector, the bowl-haired supervillain from Despicable Me.

The actor posted an Instagram Story featuring a side-by-side image of Vector alongside a photograph of the man who had been pursuing him for signatures in the French capital. The visual joke centred on their similar hairstyles and oversised black glasses.

Williams' post comes after he said the individual repeatedly approached him while he was in Paris, allegedly attempting to obtain autographs on multiple occasions. According to videos of the incident, the man continued following him between locations despite being turned away.

Hudson Williams angrily confronted an autograph seeker in Paris, whom he claims was stalking him to his place of residence. "You guys aren't fans. You're being really creepy," Hudson said, before attempting to burn the man's photos with his lighter. "Now, please f--king leave." #hudsonwilliams

Rather than addressing the situation angrily, Williams opted for humour, using the Despicable Me character as a light-hearted way to vent his frustration to followers.

Autograph dealers, often referred to by collectors as "graphers", frequently wait outside hotels, airports and film premieres hoping to obtain celebrity signatures that can later be sold. While many fans seek autographs for personal keepsakes, celebrities have increasingly criticised individuals they believe are collecting signatures for profit.

This specific grapher has a history of following celebrities even after they have told him to leave them alone. The man was recorded not leaving Chappell Roan alone a few months ago after the pop singer politely told him to stop.

The post is the latest example of Williams using social media to share behind-the-scenes moments from his travels, turning an uncomfortable encounter into a viral punchline rather than escalating the situation.
