With digital transformation accelerating across Pakistan, companies are rethinking corporate mobility. The focus is shifting toward smarter, safer, and more streamlined employee transport that doesn’t compromise on cost control or convenience.

In an exclusive dialogue, Miral Sharif, Country General Manager for Yango Pakistan, and Ivan Kaplunovich, Head of B2B at Yango, break down how Yango Rides for Business is solving these core mobility challenges. They map out the company's long-term vision for corporate transit and discuss why Pakistan remains a pivotal market in Yango’s regional expansion plan.

Q. Corporate mobility is becoming increasingly important for businesses in Pakistan. What demand are you seeing from companies, and how is Yango responding?

Miral: Businesses across Pakistan are increasingly looking for smarter and more efficient ways to manage employee transportation. As organszations grow, coordinating daily travel, controlling costs, and ensuring a reliable commute for employees have become important priorities.

At Yango, we've developed Yango Rides for business to address these needs through a centralized platform that simplifies corporate mobility. By combining our understanding of the local market with Yango's global technology, we're helping businesses standardize transportation management while giving employees a dependable and convenient commuting experience.

Q. How is Yango making its corporate mobility solution accessible to businesses of different sizes across Pakistan?

Miral: Our goal is to make corporate mobility simple and flexible for every business, whether it's a growing SME or a large enterprise operating across multiple cities.

Through a single interface, companies can manage employee rides under a single corporate account with transparent monthly billing, eliminating reimbursement challenges and simplifying expense management.

We also provide dedicated account support, route optimisation, multiple ride categories, and detailed reporting so businesses can choose a solution that best fits their operational requirements.

Q. Why do you believe Yango Rides for business offers a stronger solution than traditional corporate transport arrangements available in Pakistan?

Miral: Over the past few years, we've spent considerable time understanding how people and businesses move across Pakistan. Those insights have helped us develop services that respond to local transportation challenges rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Yango Rides for business combines technology, operational efficiency, and exclusive customer support to give businesses greater visibility and control over employee transportation.

Features such as centralised billing, route optimisation, detailed reporting, and multiple ride options allow companies to manage mobility more efficiently while maintaining a high standard of reliability and safety for their teams.

Q. Employee safety remains a top priority for businesses, particularly for women and employees travelling during late hours. How is Yango strengthening safety across its platform in Pakistan?

Miral: Safety has always been one of our highest priorities, and we continue to invest in features that help passengers and drivers feel more secure throughout every stage of their journey.

Our platform includes several built-in safety measures, including verified driver onboarding, trip sharing, trusted contacts, an in-app Safety Center, emergency assistance features, call masking, driver and passenger ratings, and in-ride insurance, you name it. Together, these features provide multiple layers of protection while giving passengers greater confidence and transparency during every ride.

We are also closely working with the government on a regular basis on making mobility safer for everyone. One example is our partnership with the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) to introduce in an-app helpline for emergencies, as well sessions and training on road safety, civic sense, gender sensitization for our partners.

The aim is to keep strengthening our safety measures to meet the expectations of both individual passengers and corporate clients who rely on us for their daily transportation needs.

Q. As more companies adopt digital mobility solutions, how important are dedicated account management and centralised billing in building long-term trust with businesses?

Miral: Businesses today are looking for mobility partners that offer more than just transportation. They want reliability, transparency, and responsive support that simplifies day-to-day operations.

That's why proactive account management and centralised monthly billing are key components of our corporate offering. They help organisations manage transportation expenses more efficiently, reduce administrative workload, and ensure quick resolution whenever support is needed.

Our objective is to make employee mobility as seamless as possible, allowing businesses to focus on their core operations while we take care of their transportation needs.

Q. This one is for you, Mr Ivan. Are there plans to integrate Yango Rides for business with local finance or HR tools for seamless expense management and ride approvals?

Ivan: Yango has superior technology that can easily be integrated with other organisational tools. However, that will be done on a case-to-case basis, depending on the exact needs of the particular clients.

We, at Yango, have amazing tech capabilities to personalise and alter the solution as per specific needs of our clients. I would even say this is one of our unique advantages.

Q. Is this B2B play a stepping stone toward expanding into logistics, intercity mobility, or other business services in Pakistan?

Ivan: I’ll take this one. So like any other market Yango operates in, we first evaluate the demand of a service and the feasibility of it. At this moment, we feel like it is the right time to invest in corporate rides and will aim to simplify corporate mobility for employers and the everyday office goers.

That being said, we do have the technology to expand into other areas, especially when it comes to using the existing fleet we have. This is also aligned with our broader SuperApp ambitions, where we aim to offer a seamless digital ecosystem of Mobility, Delivery, Shops and other everyday services targeted towards our everyday consumers to support Pakistan's growing digital economy.

We see enormous potential to expand choice and value for our customers, while continuing to invest in local partnerships and the wider economy.

Q. How does Pakistan fit into Yango's broader regional playbook across the GCC and MENAP markets?

Ivan: Pakistan is one of the tier one markets for Yango for several reasons. The first is that we're addressing a genuine mobility need where public transport infrastructure is currently unable to fully meet demand. Millions of people rely on our platform every day for safe, affordable, and reliable transportation, whether they're commuting to work, attending university, or travelling with their families.

Secondly, we've witnessed significant growth over the past few years, demonstrating the confidence customers place in our services despite a competitive market. We see this trust as a responsibility and remain committed to continuously improving the experience while strengthening our presence in Pakistan.

Q. Miraal, if you had to sum up Yango's promise to businesses and everyday riders in Pakistan, what would it be?

Miral: Our promise is simple: to provide reliable, and affordable mobility backed by technology that makes every journey easier and safer. Whether we're serving individual passengers or supporting businesses through Yango Rides for business, our focus remains on delivering a dependable experience that people can trust every day.

Q. Pakistan's ride-hailing market has evolved significantly in recent years, creating new opportunities for both everyday mobility and corporate transportation. How is Yango positioning itself to meet these changing needs, and what role will Yango Rides for business play in that growth?

Miral: Pakistan continues to be an important market for Yango, with growing demand for safer, reliable, and technology-driven mobility solutions. As customer expectations evolve, we're focused on delivering services that address local transportation needs while continuously improving the experience for both passengers and businesses.

Our priority is to build sustainable growth by investing in innovation, strengthening local partnerships, and expanding solutions that add real value to our customers.

Ivan: Plus, we’re also seeing a growing opportunity in corporate mobility as more businesses look for smarter ways to manage employee transportation. Through Yango Rides for business, we're bringing together centralised ride management, transparent billing, detailed reporting, and dedicated account support to help organizations simplify mobility while giving employees a dependable commuting experience.

As demand continues to grow, we'll keep adapting our technology to the needs of businesses in Pakistan and supporting the country's digital transformation.
