Bonnie Tyler's final social media post takes on poignant meaning after her death at 75
Tyler's final Instagram post, shared on May 1, promoted her latest song, 'One World One Home'

Bonnie Tyler's final social media post has taken on a poignant new significance following the legendary Welsh singer's death at the age of 75, as fans revisit the heartfelt message she shared just weeks before her passing.
Tyler, best known for timeless hits including Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero, died on 8 July in a hospital near Faro, Portugal, after complications from an illness. The singer had undergone emergency intestinal surgery in May and was placed in a medically induced coma. Although she initially showed signs of recovery, her condition later deteriorated. She is survived by her husband of more than five decades, Robert Sullivan.
Her final Instagram post, shared on May 1, promoted her latest song, One World One Home, which was written for the documentary Homeless. Alongside artwork for the single, Tyler encouraged fans to support the project, which aims to raise awareness of homelessness and raise funds for related charities.
"I'm so excited to finally share 'One World One Home' with you all," Tyler wrote, adding that she hoped listeners would support both the song and the documentary's mission.
Released just weeks before her death, "One World One Home" became Tyler's final original recording. The uplifting ballad was written specifically for Valerio Zanoli's documentary Homeless, with proceeds helping support initiatives focused on tackling homelessness around the world.
The post has since been flooded with messages from grieving fans, many describing the lyrics and the song's title as a fitting final message from the singer. Others praised Tyler for continuing to champion charitable causes while still recording new music more than five decades into her career.
Tyler had remained active until shortly before her illness. Earlier this year she released the single Only Love and had been preparing for a run of European concert dates. Her final live performance took place in London in March, where she once again performed Total Eclipse of the Heart to a sold-out crowd.
Across an extraordinary career spanning more than 50 years, Tyler became one of Britain's most distinctive voices, selling millions of records worldwide and earning international acclaim with classics such as It's a Heartache, Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero. Her final social media post now stands as a touching reminder of an artist who spent her last public moments using her platform to support a cause she believed in.
