Plea filed against Baitul Mal DG's repatriation

The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the secretary of the Establishment Division, the managing director of Pakistan Baitul Mal and other respondents on a petition challenging a notification repatriating the services of the organisation's director general to the Punjab government.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas heard the petition filed by Prof Dr Zeeshan Danish. Advocate Shah Khawar appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

The petitioner's counsel submitted that the federal government uploaded the notification on its website on May 20, 2026, under which the petitioner's services were returned to the Punjab government.
