Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that becoming a mother has transformed the way she approaches her acting career, saying every professional decision she makes is now influenced by her adopted daughter.

Speaking to Access Hollywood while promoting Enola Holmes 3, the 22-year-old actress explained that she now looks for roles that set a positive example for young girls.

"Everything is about my daughter now," Brown said, adding that she wants to portray strong female characters that her daughter can one day look up to.

Brown, who adopted a baby girl with her husband Jake Bongiovi in the summer of 2025, said motherhood has given her a new perspective on the stories she wants to tell. Rather than encouraging her daughter to follow in her footsteps, the Stranger Things star hopes her work will inspire her to be confident enough to pursue whatever path she chooses.

The actress also stressed the importance of creating more opportunities for women in the entertainment industry, saying she hopes to see more female-led stories both in front of and behind the camera.

"I want to inspire the next generation of actresses, filmmakers and storytellers," Brown said, explaining that representation on screen can have a lasting impact on young audiences.

Brown also reflected on her childhood admiration for Disney Channel star Hannah Montana, revealing she now better understands the idea of living a double life as both a public figure and a parent.

The actress has previously spoken about how raising a daughter has reshaped her outlook, saying she wants to build a world where girls support one another and know they should "never settle for anything less." She has also said that she hopes to teach her daughter to see make-up as a form of creativity and self-expression rather than an obligation.

Brown and Bongiovi married in May 2024 and announced in August 2025 that they had adopted a baby girl, asking fans and the media to respect their family's privacy. The couple have largely kept their daughter out of the spotlight while occasionally sharing how parenthood has influenced their lives.

Brown will next reprise her role as the resourceful detective in Enola Holmes 3, in which Enola faces a new mystery involving the kidnapping of Sherlock Holmes. As she prepares for the film's release, the actress says motherhood continues to shape both her personal life and the future of her career.
