QUETTA:

The Balochistan government has finalized rigorous security measures across the province to safeguard Ashura processions and religious gatherings, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced on Thursday. He affirmed that all relevant state institutions are operating in close coordination to guarantee a peaceful and orderly Youm-e-Ashura.

According to the Chief Minister, law enforcement agencies, district administrations, and line departments have been placed on maximum alert to protect participants and uphold public order. Special protocols have been instituted throughout Balochistan to streamline the logistics of Muharram gatherings and protect mourners.

Reflecting on the historical significance of the occasion, Chief Minister Bugti stated that the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions at Karbala offer an enduring blueprint for bravery, justice, and resilience against tyranny. He emphasized that the historic tragedy remains a profound symbol of standing up for truth.

Highlighting Ashura as an occasion that champions solidarity, tolerance, and mutual respect, the Chief Minister called upon citizens to actively support state efforts in fostering social harmony and adhering to the rule of law.
