Katseye leader Sophia has shared a fresh update on Manon’s future with the group, reassuring fans that the singer remains a member despite her ongoing hiatus and stressing that her wellbeing should come first.

Speaking in a recent interview with Allure, Sophia addressed the uncertainty surrounding Manon’s absence and urged fans to be patient while her bandmate focuses on her health.

“Because we did announce that it is about her well-being, it’s not our place or anybody else’s place to rush her,” Sophia said. “We love her and the fans love her. The people love her. They love Katseye.”

The comments come more than four months after HYBE x Geffen announced on February 20, 2026, that Manon would temporarily step away from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing. Since then, Katseye has continued promotions as a five-member group, including performances at Coachella and preparations for its upcoming EP, WILD.

Sophia also acknowledged fans’ concerns and curiosity about the situation, saying she understands why supporters continue to ask questions about Manon’s status.

“If I was in their place I would be asking too, and so we understand,” she added.

Earlier this month, Sophia confirmed that Manon remains on hiatus and revealed how difficult it has been for the group to move forward without all six members together.

“It’s hard to keep going with something that was built with all six girls,” she said at the time, adding that Manon “loves you all so much”.

Despite the uncertainty, Katseye continues to refer to itself as a six-member group, according to Allure. The publication noted that the members still speak about Manon as part of the group, even as there is no confirmed timetable for her return.

Manon previously reassured fans that she was “healthy” and “okay”, while also confirming that she had been having positive conversations with the label regarding her future. However, neither HYBE nor Geffen has provided further details about when she may resume activities.

Meanwhile, Katseye is preparing for the release of its new EP WILD on August 14, 2026, and its sold-out WILDWORLD Tour, which will take the group across North America and Europe later this year.
