Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that only three people know the true fate of Eleven following the dramatic conclusion of Stranger Things, keeping one of the Netflix series’ biggest mysteries firmly under wraps.

The actress, who has portrayed Eleven since the show's debut, shared new details during a live recording of the Happy Sad Confused podcast in New York. According to Brown, the creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, privately informed her of what really happened to Eleven after the series finale but instructed her not to reveal the information to anyone else.

The final season left fans divided after Eleven appeared to sacrifice herself to save her friends and permanently close the connection to the Upside Down. However, the ending stopped short of confirming her death, leading to widespread speculation about whether the character survived.

Within the story, Mike Wheeler, played by Finn Wolfhard, suggested that Eleven may have faked her death and chosen to live in secret. The ambiguous conclusion has fuelled countless fan theories since the finale premiered.

Speaking about the secret ending, Brown said that only she and the Duffer Brothers know the truth. She also joked that many of her castmates believe Eleven died, calling their assumptions “rude.” Brown added that even her husband, Jake Bongiovi, saw the messages discussing the ending and noted how divided opinions were among those involved with the show.

Meanwhile, the Duffer Brothers have previously hinted that they may not reveal Eleven’s definitive fate for years. During an earlier podcast appearance, they joked that fans might have to wait until 2046 before learning the full truth.

For now, the mystery surrounding Eleven remains one of the most talked-about aspects of the Stranger Things finale, with Brown continuing to guard the secret ending alongside the show's creators.
