Netflix has officially announced the premiere date for Leanne Season 2, with the hit comedy series set to return on August 27. The new season will bring back its core cast while introducing several guest stars, including acclaimed actress Tyne Daly.

The comedy stars Leanne Morgan as Leanne, a woman forced to rebuild her life after her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. With support from her family, especially her loyal sister Carol, played by Kristen Johnston, Leanne navigates personal challenges while finding humour, resilience and new opportunities.

One of the biggest additions to Season 2 is Tyne Daly, who will guest star alongside her real-life brother Tim Daly, a regular cast member on the series. Netflix has not revealed details about Tyne Daly’s character, but her appearance is expected to be a major highlight for fans.

The upcoming season will also feature guest appearances from country music star Lainey Wilson, actress Jaime Pressly and comedian Billy Gardell. Returning cast members include Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Jayma Mays, Graham Rogers, Hannah Pilkes and Andrea Anders.

Created by Leanne Morgan, Chuck Lorre and Susan McMartin, Leanne has become a notable addition to Netflix’s comedy lineup. The series blends family dynamics, emotional storytelling and humour while exploring life after a long-term marriage.

Season 2 continues Leanne’s journey as she embraces change and learns to move forward with the help of those closest to her. With new guest stars and fresh storylines, Netflix is positioning the series as one of its key comedy releases for late 2026.
