ISLAMABAD:

Islamabad Police have solved a blind murder case involving the killing of a woman and arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the crime.

According to police, a woman identified as Bushra died under suspicious circumstances on May 20, 2026. The incident was initially presented as an accidental death caused by electrocution, and the victim was buried shortly afterward.

However, due to several suspicious aspects surrounding the case, Banigala Police launched a comprehensive investigation using modern investigative techniques.

Islamabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Muhammad Jawad Tariq, said the case was traced with the help of Safe City cameras, human intelligence, and advanced technology.

The arrested suspects were identified as Zahir Shah, the victim's biological father, Asad Khan, her former husband, and Pir Muhammad, her father-in-law.

Police alleged that the suspects had conspired to murder the woman and subsequently attempted to conceal the crime by portraying it as an accidental electrocution. However, the investigation uncovered evidence that led to the exposure of the alleged murder plot and the arrest of those involved.
