Fortnight of Independence Day celebration begins

A schedule has been finalised to celebrate the Independence Day with sports, rallies, musical and other events in the city till August 23. The celebrations begun with a bicycle rally on Sunday, while a motorbike rally will be organised in the Defence area on Monday.
A karate tournament will be organised at Nishtar Park Sports Complex on August 11, where wrestling and powerlifting competitions will also be held.
During the celebrations, areas across Lahore will be illuminated.
A laser show will take place at the Town Hall.
According to officials, a large concert and fireworks will be organised at Liberty Chowk on August 13, the National Squash Championship will be held on August 14.
