The announcement follows several recent performances where Bridgers debuted fresh material for audiences. Her return to the stage culminated with a phone free concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, where anticipation surrounding new music reached a peak.

Lost Weekend comes after a busy few years for the singer and songwriter. Since releasing Punisher, Bridgers focused much of her attention on Boygenius, the acclaimed trio she formed with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. The group's self titled debut album arrived in 2023 and earned widespread praise.

Bridgers and her Boygenius bandmates enjoyed significant success at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The group collected three trophies, while Bridgers also secured an award for "Ghost in the Machine", her collaboration with SZA.

Although detailed information about Lost Weekend has not yet been released, reports have suggested that Bridgers has been working with producer Jack Antonoff. The Grammy winning producer is known for collaborations with Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey. Reports have also linked Alex G and The 1975 member Matty Healy to the project.

Alongside the album announcement, Bridgers unveiled an extensive tour across North America and Europe. The run begins in September and includes multiple arena dates in cities such as Chicago, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and Toronto before moving overseas later in the year.

Nearly every announced date has already sold out, underlining the demand for Bridgers' return. Alex G will support selected North American performances, while Isaac Wood and Anaïs are scheduled to join several European dates.

The new album represents another major chapter in Bridgers' career. Since the release of Punisher, she has become one of the most influential voices in alternative music, building a devoted fan base and earning critical acclaim for both her solo work and collaborative projects.

With Lost Weekend arriving in August and an ambitious world tour already drawing huge interest, Phoebe Bridgers is set for one of the biggest musical comebacks of 2026.
