ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court has issued notices and sought a response from the Director General Immigration on a petition challenging the offloading of three passengers, including a husband and wife, who were allegedly stopped from travelling for Umrah.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the petition filed by Asad Aslam, Imran and Ishrat Imran. The petitioners, through their counsel Advocate Tariq Muhammad Khan Marwat, challenged the decision to offload them from their flight on June 18 at the airport.

The counsel argued that the passengers were stopped from travelling on the pretext that they did not have confirmed hotel bookings.
