Nicole Kidman included ex-husband Keith Urban in Father’s Day tribute months after their divorce

Nicole Kidman marked Father’s Day with a social media tribute that included a rare post featuring her ex-husband Keith Urban, six months after the former couple finalised their divorce.

The actress shared a split-screen image on her Instagram Story celebrating fathers in her life. One photograph showed a young Kidman with her late father, Dr Antony Kidman, while the second featured Urban carrying the couple’s two daughters on his back.

Kidman captioned the post, “Happy Father's Day to all the fathers.”

The tribute marked the first Father’s Day since Kidman and Urban ended their 19-year marriage in 2025. Despite their separation, the actress’s post acknowledged Urban’s role as a father to their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

Kidman has frequently spoken about the impact of family relationships throughout her life. The actress shared a close bond with her father, Dr Antony Kidman, who died in 2014. She also experienced the loss of her mother in 2024.

Reflecting on those personal losses during an interview with GQ, Kidman said, “Life is, whew. It's definitely a journey. And it hits you as you get older.” She continued, “If you're in it and not numbing yourself to it. And I'm in it. Fully in it.”

The Father’s Day message drew attention because it included Urban following the end of their marriage. The country music star and actress were together for nearly two decades and raised their daughters while balancing high-profile careers in music and film.

Kidman also shares two children with former husband Tom Cruise, though he was not included in the Father’s Day post.
