Florence Pugh spotted filming mysterious new movie with Andy Samberg titled ‘42.6 Years’
Michael Schwartz directs the upcoming film about a man returning after decades in cryogenic suspension

Florence Pugh has been spotted filming scenes with Andy Samberg for the upcoming sci-fi romance 42.6 Years, offering fans their first glimpse at the project currently shooting in New York.
New photographs taken in Central Park and Brooklyn show Pugh and Samberg working together on location, seemingly confirming the Oscar nominated actress has joined the cast of the film. Neither the production nor the actress had publicly announced her involvement before the set images emerged.

Apparently, 42.6 Years centres on a young man who is cryogenically frozen for 42.6 years and later attempts to reconnect with the girlfriend he left behind. According to the official synopsis, the woman has continued living her life during his absence, creating an unusual romantic situation when the two reunite decades later.
Samberg is not only starring in the film but also originated the story alongside writer Seth Reiss. Both are producing the project as well.
The film is being directed by Michael Schwartz, best known for helming the acclaimed drama The Peanut Butter Falcon. Annette Bening was previously announced as part of the cast.
Although specific character details have not been officially revealed, the newly surfaced images have fuelled speculation among fans regarding Pugh’s role in the story. Social media discussions have suggested she could portray the younger version of the female lead, with Bening potentially playing the same character later in life. However, the production has not confirmed those reports.
The unusual premise has already attracted attention because of the themes it appears set to explore. By reversing the age dynamic between the couple after the decades long separation, the story could examine how society views age differences in relationships from different perspectives.
Set photographs show Pugh and Samberg filming scenes outdoors in casual clothing, with several moments appearing to capture a romantic connection between their characters. The images quickly spread online and generated excitement among fans eager to see Pugh return to the romance genre.

Pugh has remained busy following recent appearances in major film projects, while Samberg continues to balance acting with producing and writing duties.
No release date for 42.6 Years has been announced.
