As broadcaster Tina Daheley prepares to leave the Radio 2 Breakfast Show after more than seven years, many listeners are taking a closer look at the person who has been by her side throughout much of her career journey, her longtime partner, Kane William-Smith.

William-Smith is a British entrepreneur and the founder of JokePit, a comedy ticketing and marketing platform that has grown in popularity within the UK's entertainment industry. Despite his connection to one of Britain's best-known broadcasters, he has largely stayed out of the public eye and prefers to keep his personal life private.

The couple's relationship dates back to 2012, when they reportedly met while on holiday in Ibiza. Their romance continued to flourish over the following years, and in 2018, William-Smith proposed to Daheley. While the pair became engaged, they have yet to tie the knot.

In 2021, the couple welcomed a daughter, marking a major milestone in their relationship. Since becoming parents, Daheley has occasionally spoken about family life and the challenges of balancing motherhood with a demanding broadcasting schedule.

The BBC presenter has previously described her partner as "phenomenal," particularly when discussing his support as they raise their daughter together. Because William-Smith works from home, Daheley said his flexible schedule has been invaluable, especially during her years working early-morning shifts.

Speaking about motherhood in past interviews, Daheley explained that becoming a parent transformed her outlook on work and life. She revealed that it gave her the confidence to set healthier boundaries and prioritize family time, something she said she struggled to do earlier in her career.

The couple have also been open about choosing not to rush into marriage. Daheley once joked that her mother would happily tell people they were already married, even though the pair remain engaged. She has spoken candidly about how attitudes within her family changed after she became a mother outside of marriage, describing the experience as something that would have been viewed very differently years earlier.

Interest in William-Smith has increased following Daheley's announcement that she is stepping away from the Radio 2 Breakfast Show. In a message shared with listeners, the broadcaster thanked audiences for welcoming her into their mornings and described her time on the programme as one of the greatest privileges of her career.

Although she is leaving the breakfast slot, Daheley confirmed she is not departing Radio 2 entirely and will continue to appear on the station while pursuing other broadcasting opportunities.

As she embarks on her next professional chapter, Kane William-Smith remains a constant presence in her life, a supportive partner who has shared in her successes, family milestones and more than a decade of memories.
