PMD warns widespread stormy weather spell

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread dust storms, windstorms and rain-thunderstorms across various parts of the country from June 16 to 20, as a westerly wave is expected to approach the upper regions on June 16 and persist until June 20.
Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are also likely to penetrate the upper and central parts of the country from June 16, triggering extensive weather activity.
According to the Met Office, scattered dust storms, windstorms and rain-thunderstorms, accompanied by isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms, are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock and other cities.
