Sexual assault: CID nabs murderer of eight-year-old

KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department apprehended on Monday a suspect who was allegedly involved in the murder and sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl. According to SSP CID Fayyaz Khan, the suspect Alam Khan Mehsud who is also affiliated with a political party, had gone into hiding after committing the offence that was registered in Sohrab Goth police station. “It was a horrific crime committed against an innocent young girl,” SSP Khan said. “When one of our teams received a tip-off that the suspect was hiding in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, we took immediate action and nabbed him,” he added. A TT pistol was seized from the suspect.
