Former 'Call of Duty' and 'Naughty Dog' veterans unveil 'Crossfire', a tactical action game set in the Atlas Mountains

Independent studio That's No Moon has officially unveiled its debut title, Crossfire, a narrative-driven tactical action game developed by a team of industry veterans from franchises including Call of Duty and The Last of Us.
The game follows mercenary Layla Qassem, whose mission in the Atlas Mountains takes a dramatic turn when she becomes stranded alongside Tier-One Operator Delroy Cross. Forced to confront a growing existential threat, the pair must overcome their ideological differences and work together to survive.
The reveal trailer offered a first look at the game's blend of stealth, tactical gunplay, traversal mechanics, and cinematic storytelling. Players can expect a mix of intense combat encounters and character-driven moments as Layla and Delroy navigate the dangerous terrain and uncover the mystery at the heart of the conflict.
One of Crossfire's standout features is its new Adaptive Cover system, which dynamically adjusts how Layla interacts with the environment during combat and movement. According to game director Jacob Minkoff, the mechanic allows the protagonist to react naturally to changing terrain and enemy positions in real time, creating a more fluid and immersive gameplay experience.
Founded in 2021, That's No Moon was established by former developers from major studios including Infinity Ward and Naughty Dog. Crossfire marks the team's first announced project, though the studio has yet to confirm a release date.
