Doja Cat calls Elon Musk ‘barrel chested Ewok’ over changes made to X

Doja Cat criticised Elon Musk on X while asking for return of audio posts, insulting him along with request

Doja Cat has used X to publicly request the return of the platform’s audio post feature while simultaneously criticising owner Elon Musk in a series of posts that quickly gained attention online.

On Wednesday, the Grammy-winning artist addressed Musk directly, asking for a discontinued function to be reinstated.

The reference appears to relate to the platform’s audio posting function, which users have reported was phased out around early 2025.

While public audio posts are no longer widely available, users are still able to send voice messages through direct messaging features.

The post sparked widespread discussion due to both its content request and its personal remarks about Musk, who acquired X, formerly Twitter, in October 2022.

Since the takeover, the platform has undergone significant structural and feature changes, including adjustments to its leadership and product offerings.

Reports have previously noted changes in user activity and advertising revenue following the acquisition.

Musk has also faced regulatory scrutiny in recent years, including a civil penalty settlement in relation to an SEC investigation over disclosure practices during his acquisition period.

At the time of writing, there has been no public response from Musk regarding Doja Cat’s request or her remarks.
