Milly Alcock and Jason Momoa tease 'messed up' scenes in Supergirl
Milly Alcock and Jason Momoa reveal wild on-set moments in Supergirl ahead of its June 26 cinema release

Milly Alcock and Jason Momoa have opened up about their experience working on Supergirl, teasing chaotic and unexpected moments from the set of the upcoming DC Universe film.
Speaking during Fandango’s Big Ticket interview alongside director Craig Gillespie and co-star Eve Ridley, the cast discussed the creative freedom on set and how it shaped their performances in the major superhero production.
Jason Momoa, who plays the DC character Lobo, said the improvisational approach allowed him to explore different sides of his character while working closely with the film’s creative team. He noted that much of his performance came together during looping and post-production, adding that he was surprised by how much of his spontaneous work made it into the final cut.
Momoa also hinted at unpredictable moments shared with Milly Alcock during filming, joking about scenes that pushed boundaries on set. Alcock echoed the collaborative environment, with both actors crediting director Craig Gillespie for encouraging experimentation throughout production.
Gillespie also highlighted the performance of Matthias Schoenaerts, who portrays villain Krem, praising the actor’s willingness to deliver a wide range of takes. He described Schoenaerts’ approach as bold and unpredictable, helping shape the tone of the film during editing.
The interview also touched on character dynamics, including Alcock’s role as Supergirl and her interactions with Eve Ridley’s character Ruthye, as well as Momoa’s preparation for bringing Lobo to the big screen.
Supergirl is scheduled to hit theatres on 26 June, marking one of the major upcoming releases in the DC Universe slate.
