Police in Scotland reportedly intervened after a group of YouTubers attempted to enter Rockstar North’s headquarters in an effort to obtain information about Grand Theft Auto VI.

According to reports, German YouTuber ÜberGaming and his crew were filming content when they approached the Rockstar North building in Edinburgh, where development on GTA 6 is believed to be ongoing. The group allegedly entered the premises briefly before being stopped.

Authorities were later called to the scene, where the individuals were detained for identification checks. However, no arrests were made, and the group was released after questioning, according to early reports.

Footage and accounts of the incident quickly spread across social media and gaming communities, sparking widespread criticism. Many users accused the creators of crossing legal and ethical boundaries in an attempt to generate content around one of the most secretive game developments in the industry.

This is not the first time individuals have attempted to approach Rockstar Games’ facilities in search of GTA 6 information. Previous incidents have also seen fans travel to Scotland hoping to uncover details about the highly anticipated title.

Rockstar Games has maintained strict secrecy around Grand Theft Auto VI, releasing only limited official information since its announcement. The lack of updates has fuelled ongoing speculation, leaks, and increasingly bold attempts by content creators to obtain insider details.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled for release on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with marketing and pre-orders expected to begin later this year.
