Police respond after Reckless Ben’s $200K Lego Star Wars investigation goes viral
Police release detailed response after Reckless Ben's arrest during $200,000 Lego Star Wars dispute case ongoing

The American Fork Police Department has released a detailed response following the arrest of YouTuber Reckless Ben, whose real name is Benjamin Schneider, during an ongoing investigation tied to a disputed $200,000 Lego Star Wars collection.
According to a report by Dexerto, the department addressed claims made in Schneider’s video documentation, which showed multiple police encounters, arrests, and the execution of a search warrant at an Airbnb where he and his team were staying. The case stems from a broader dispute involving the alleged disappearance of rare Lego Star Wars sets linked to a Bricks & Minifigs franchise.
Police Chief Cameron Paul stated that officers were responding to repeated complaints made in Utah and were not directly involved in the underlying business dispute based in Oregon. Authorities said Schneider and associates were reported multiple times for allegedly approaching a private residence, placing signs, and continuing contact despite prior warnings.
Court documents cited by Dexerto indicate that Schneider was arrested on allegations of stalking and targeted residential picketing under Utah law. Police also confirmed they obtained a court-approved search warrant for the Airbnb after receiving reports suggesting possible stolen Lego merchandise may have been present at the location.
However, official warrant return records reportedly show that no items were seized during the search. Schneider has disputed the allegations, claiming his actions were part of an effort to pursue legal documentation and investigate the missing collection.
The department also addressed claims regarding alleged injuries during the arrest, stating body camera footage did not support those claims and that no complaints were recorded during detention or booking.
The investigation remains ongoing, with Schneider suggesting further videos and developments related to the Lego Star Wars dispute have yet to be released.
