Amazon announces three AI generated animated series using GenAI
Amazon has greenlit three AI-assisted animated shows as part of new GenAI Creators Fund initiative

Amazon has confirmed the development of three animated series created with generative AI support as part of its new GenAI Creators Fund, expanding the company’s use of artificial intelligence in entertainment production.
The initiative is connected to Project Nara, which Amazon Prime Video describes as a “collaborative workspace” that combines AI agents with existing production tools including Adobe, Unreal Engine and Blender.
Amazon MGM Studios COO Albert Cheng said the system is designed to “empower human creativity, and allow TV shows and movies that would not have been possible before.”
Cheng also addressed common industry concerns, stating: “One of the biggest complaints we hear from creators is: AI will not do what you want it to do,” adding that Project Nara aims to turn AI systems into “usable tools for the industry.”
Under the GenAI Creators Fund, three animated projects have been approved: Punky Duck, Love, Diana Music Hunter and Cupcake & Friends.
Each project has reportedly been given a five-week deadline to complete pilot episodes, with Amazon stating the goal is to demonstrate that production can be completed at a significantly faster pace using AI-assisted workflows. Release dates have not yet been announced.
