Kate Mansi is set to leave General Hospital after three years portraying Kristina Corinthos Davis, marking the end of a run that brought her back into the daytime television spotlight following her long tenure on Days of Our Lives.

Mansi’s final episodes are expected to air in June 2026. Her departure was first reported by Soap Opera Network and later confirmed through comments from the actor herself and General Hospital executive producer and showrunner Frank Valentini.

Mansi joined General Hospital in 2023, stepping into a recast role that had previously been played by Lexie Answorth. Her arrival added a familiar face to the long running ABC soap, which continues to centre its storytelling around the intertwined lives of the Corinthos and Davis families.

Before joining the series, Mansi spent nine years on Days of Our Lives, where she played Abigail Deveraux. That role earned her a Daytime Emmy Award in 2017, establishing her as one of daytime television’s most recognisable performers. Her work on General Hospital also earned recognition, including a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2025 for her portrayal of Kristina.

During her time on the show, Mansi also expanded her work behind the camera. She directed two episodes of General Hospital, adding directing credits to a career that has increasingly included work across performance and production.

Speaking about her departure, Mansi described her time on the series as a meaningful chapter in her career. She noted that playing a member of the Corinthos Davis family had been a memorable experience and expressed appreciation for the cast, crew and creative team behind the show.

Frank Valentini also commented on her exit, stating that the production team supports her decision to move on. He added that the door remains open for a potential return in the future, a common practice in long running daytime dramas where characters often reappear after extended absences.

Outside of General Hospital, Mansi has continued to build her screen career. Her recent credits include the Amazon Freevee drama Casa Grande, followed by a film adaptation released on Prime Video in 2026. She also starred in the 2020 independent feature Legend of the Muse and led the 2019 limited series Days of Our Lives: Chad and Abby in Paris.

Mansi’s departure comes at a time of ongoing cast changes across daytime television, as long running soaps continue to evolve their storytelling and production structures while maintaining legacy characters and family driven narratives.

Her exit marks the end of a notable chapter for General Hospital, but industry comments suggest her connection to the series may not be permanently closed.
