Burning animal waste prohibited
.

The Punjab Home Department has imposed province-wide restrictions under Section 144, including an immediate ban on burning animal heads and trotters in public places during Eidul Azha.
Under the same restrictions, swimming and bathing in rivers, lakes, canals and dams will also be prohibited.
Section 144 will further apply to the disposal of animal waste and offal into manholes, drains or canals, while the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals outside officially approved cattle markets has been declared completely prohibited.
The restrictions will remain in force from May 27 until June 2. Authorities have also barred proscribed organisations from collecting sacrificial hides during Eidul Azha. Hides may only be collected after obtaining written permission from the relevant Deputy Commissioner.
