Man staged kidnapping after killing wife

Investigation police claimed to have solved the blind murder case of a young woman in Kahna by arresting her husband, who allegedly killed her and later staged a fake kidnapping drama to mislead investigators.

According to investigators, the suspect allegedly murdered his wife over domestic disputes by suffocating her with a pillow.

Police said the accused later transported the body on a motorcycle during the night and dumped it in Rohi Nullah in an attempt to conceal the crime.

Investigators said the suspect subsequently lodged a kidnapping case against unidentified persons at the concerned police station to portray the incident as an abduction. Police claimed the accused was traced and arrested with the help of modern technology.

Authorities added that efforts would be made, through police-prosecution coordination, to ensure strict punishment for the suspect.
