Prime Video is set to release Every Year After, an eight-part drama adapted from Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Every Summer After, with all episodes arriving on June 10.

The series is produced by Sex and the City executive producer Amy B. Harris and follows a long-running romance spanning six years and one week in the lakeside town of Barry’s Bay.

The story focuses on Percy Fraser and Sam Florek, played by Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett. It charts their relationship from teenage years through adulthood, revisiting themes of first love, separation and reunion.

The official synopsis describes it as “a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever.”

The series begins with Percy returning to her childhood town after a decade away, where she reconnects with Sam following years of estrangement. The adaptation is based on a novel that has been described by readers as “breathtaking”.

Speaking about the project, creator Amy B. Harris said that she was drawn to the emotional core of the story. She said, “I was so immersed in the world that Carley had built and Sam and Percy’s love story, and the feeling of optimism and second chances,” adding that it was important “to honour the book and the characters and then expand it, so it could be a series that could go on for years to come.”

The cast also includes Aurora Perrineau, Abigail Cowen, Michael Bradway, Joseph Chiu and Elisha Cuthbert in supporting roles.

Every Year After will be available exclusively on Prime Video, with all eight episodes releasing simultaneously on June 10, positioning the series as part of the platform’s summer slate of new original dramas.
