As The Boys prepares to air its final episode, the cast and creators recently reunited ahead of the explosive finale, while fans also got a first look at the franchise’s upcoming prequel, Vought Rising.

Actors including Erin Moriarty, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Karen Fukuhara and Laz Alonso gathered as anticipation builds for the ending of the long-running Prime Video series created by Eric Kripke.

The fifth season continues after Homelander’s rise to power following the events of Season 4, with martial law declared across the United States and Supes increasingly used to control the country. Meanwhile, Annie January and Billy Butcher continue leading resistance efforts against Homelander’s growing influence.

The season has already delivered several major deaths, including A-Train, Firecracker, Black Noir II, and Frenchie, reinforcing that no character is completely safe heading into the finale.

Prime Video also confirmed that the series finale will premiere in select 4DX theaters across the United States and Canada before arriving on streaming. Participating chains include AMC, Regal, and Cineplex, with the immersive format featuring moving seats, vibrations, and environmental effects tied to the episode’s action sequences.

The official teaser describes the finale as “the epic series-defining showdown between Butcher and Homelander,” promising one final confrontation after five seasons of escalating conflict.

At the same event, fans were also shown an early trailer for Vought Rising, the upcoming prequel series set in the 1950s.

The project stars Jensen Ackles returning as Soldier Boy alongside Aya Cash reprising her role as Stormfront. New cast members include Elizabeth Posey, Will Hochman, Mason Dye and KiKi Layne.

According to the creative team, the prequel explores the early origins of Vought and follows a murder mystery tied to the company’s rise during the 1950s. The story also examines Soldier Boy’s early years before becoming the version audiences later met in The Boys.

Kripke previously explained that the series will explore how Supes evolved from military figures into commercial celebrities tied to consumer culture and propaganda.

Jensen Ackles also teased that audiences will see a much younger and very different version of Soldier Boy compared to the one introduced in The Boys.

Production on Vought Rising reportedly wrapped earlier this year, with the series currently expected to premiere on Prime Video in 2027.
