Illegal RO plant busted in water theft crackdown

KARACHI:

Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) police unearthed an illegal RO plant in North Nazimabad.

According to KWSC officials, a raid was carried out at D-71, Block B, where an illegal RO plant was found operating through unauthorised subsoil water extraction. The water was reportedly being stolen and sold commercially after filtration.

The facility was sealed on the spot, while two persons were arrested during the operation. A case has also been registered against them under the KWSC Act at the relevant police station.
